Standard Baselines
A baseline is a group of standards put together for a specific purpose. A well known standard baseline was RFA-99, specifying the standards GP systems had to abide by in order to be purchased by the NHS. The baselines here bring together international, government and NHS standards. In many cases these standards are in widespread use but have not specifically been approved by us.
Note that some of these baselines are included in STEP which provides guidance on the enforcement of information standards in procurement. Others may be added on demand.
