The Library is a catalogue of the approved, work in progress and withdrawn information standards. It uses the information maintained internally by us to manage the standards lifecycle. This may mean that there are occasionally data quality errors that we have not picked up. Please email us if you find one.

In cases where errors are found with a standard post-publication, these will normally be fixed with a new release. As this can take time to agree a corrigendum may be issued. A corrigendum is a document that describes the errors and the proposed solutions. It does not amend the standard from a contractual perspective.

Each standard and amendment is uniquely numbered using our numbering scheme. This means that you can reference both the standard as a whole and a specific version uniquely. This is useful when procuring IT systems as you can ensure the supplier meets the latest version of the standard.

Standards and releases now have a naming convention. This only applies to new standards and releases. It's worth noting that while the name of the standard may change over time, the standard number never will.

You can now sort the main tables of the library by clicking on the column heading. If you would like the list sorted in the opposite direction then click the same heading again.
